New online course seeks to create an international community of scholars
Meadville Lombard is grateful to the Panel for International Unitarian Universalism, which has provided a grant that allows us to offer a new course to Unitarians, Universalists, and Unitarian Universalists from around the world and foster an international community of learners. "Unitarianism: The Global Vision" is a survey course that explores Unitarian history beginning in the sixteenth century to the present. It is designed to provide an appreciation of Unitarianism in a global context. The course exposes students to some of the significant historical events and key personalities that have shaped Unitarianism and links them to the larger movement of Unitarian, Universalist and Unitarian Universalists around the world.
The course will be taught by the Rev. Dr. Qiyamah Rahman and will be conducted online utilizing Moodle (an on-line meeting space that allows the class to share reflections and have conversation) and video technology.
Because of the nature of this course and the desire to ensure diverse geographic participation, enrollment is limited to 12 international students and 5 Meadville Lombard students. Meadville Lombard students who wish to enroll in the class will need to apply for admission in the class before being allowed to register. The application process is as follows:

-
