Can We Build the
Beloved Community through Political Action?

Dr. Melissa Harris-Lacewell will convene this two-day workshop with an analysis of the up-to-the minute primary and caucus results; challenge participants to consider what the Beloved Community could look like; and how identity and interests influence the policy our officials create.

Rob Keithan, Director of the Washington Office for Advocacy for the Unitarian Universalist Association of Congregations, will lead workshops on Healing the World through Effective Action and on what congregations can and cannot do to “get out the vote.?

In addition to the lectures, question-and-answer sessions and workshops, there will be opportunities for participants to socialize and network, as well as worship together.

Can we build the beloved community through political action? Come to Winter Institute and let's discover the possibilities, together.
