Our beloved Denny Davidoff, Meadville Lombard’s Senior Associate for Development and Alumni/ae Affairs, lost her struggle with cancer on December 7, 2017. She was 85. We are devastated by the loss of our cherished friend and advocate.
Many know Denny as a lifelong leader in the UUA community. For the past 15 years, she was the champion of our students and alums. From their first day on campus through Ordination and beyond, she was there for them, holding their hands, sharing her wisdom, cheering them on. Denny believed that Meadville Lombard’s work is critical for assuring a strong future for our faith, for we provide the religious leaders who are reshaping the world in the values we hold dear. She tirelessly traveled the country, raising funds and promoting the vision and growth of Meadville Lombard. Before she died, Denny made it known—in her direct, no-nonsense way—to ask every Unitarian Universalist to financially support Meadville Lombard in her memory, to provide scholarships for the students she loved.
That is what Denny wanted. Please give a gift in her memory—big or small, as much as you are able. Let your outpouring of love carry her legacy into the future.
