E453INT Problems in Public Ethics

This course is designed to help students reach all four goals.  It will encourage you to clarify the theological and ethical underpinnings of your approaches to public problems.  It will expose you to five of the most pressing such problems on the national and world stage today; torture, military intervention, death penalty, abortion and poverty.  And it will help you learn how to articulate your perspective and navigate the complexities of dealing with such issues in an institutional context.
