Most Wiggin Library books are checked out through the mail. Our collection is available to members of the Meadville Lombard community as well as UU religious professionals, lay UUs, and researchers. Different types of users have different item limits and circulation periods, as explained in this chart.

Visitors may borrow books from the Wiggin Library based on their affiliation with other institutions. You can search our library catalog or use our research guides to help locate the material you need.

    • I-Share users can check books out in accordance with the I-Share Resource Sharing Code, by using their ID or library card from their home library.

  • ACTS and University of Chicago Libraries users can check out up to three books at one time by using their school ID and a valid ACTS Borrower Identification Card. Contact your library for more information about the ACTS Borrower Identification Card.
  • ATLA Libraries users can check out up to three books at a time with a valid student ID card, if their library participates in the ATLA Reciprocal Borrowing Program. Check with your library to make sure that they participate in this program.
  • Alumni, UU seminarians, and UU religious professionals can check out up to three books at a time, regardless of any affiliation with any of the above library programs or consortia.
