Most Wiggin Library books are checked out through the mail. Our collection is available to members of the Meadville Lombard community as well as Unitarian Universalist religious professionals, lay UUs, and researchers of all (or no) faith. Different types of users have different item limits and circulation periods:

Visitors may borrow books from the Wiggin Library based on your affiliation with other institutions. You can search our library catalog to help locate the material you need.

I-Share users from other member libraries can check books out in accordance with the I-Share Resource Sharing Code, by using a valid student ID or library card from your home library.

  • Association of Chicago Theological Schools (ACTS) and University of Chicago Libraries users can check out up to three books at one time with a valid school ID and ACTS Borrower Identification Card (contact your library for more information).
  • American Theological Library Association (ATLA) libraries users can check out up to three books at a time with a valid student ID, if your library participates in the ATLA Reciprocal Borrowing Program (check with your library to find out).
  • Meadville Lombard alumni/ae can check out up to five books at a time. UU seminarians and UU religious professionals can check out up to three books at a time, regardless of any affiliation with any of the above library programs or consortia.
