Prospective Student Seminar
Join us in Chicago January 3-4, 2013 for a day and a half of community, discernment, and learning. Register here!
You'll receive an introduction to the innovative TouchPoint Theological Education model, hear about the programs offered at Meadville Lombard, and be led through a discernment session by our ordained faculty to help you better understand your call. Participants will also join the entire Meadville Lombard learning community (students, faculty, alumni/ae, teaching pastors) for the annual January Learning Convocation: Power at the Borders: Stories of Change, Vulnerability, and Solidarity.
Vocational questions are spiritual in nature and deserve spiritual consideration. In the discernment session Thursday evening we will explore spiritual practices of discernment that will help us find answers to the questions that are on our hearts. On Friday we will all work together to think about how effective border-crossing combines the strength of deeply-rooted theological foundations and creative, thoughtful action. This convocation centers around stories from four voices with an aim to embrace reaching across boundaries of identity, race, culture, and faith traditions in the face of foreseeable gains and difficulties as well as unexpected opportunities and challenges.
