Dr. Sharon Welch contributes to the Oxford Handbook of Professional Economic Ethics
Our Provost, Dr. Shaon Welch was invited to contribute to the Oxford Handbook of Professional Economic Ethics, which is now published and available for purchase. She was one of only a couple of authors in this extensive volume who were asked to contribute their insights from perspectives outside of economics field.
Here is a brief description of the book and the link to Dr. Welch's essay, from the Oxford University Press:
The Oxford Handbook of Professional Economic Ethics explores a wide range of questions related to the nature of ethical economic practice. The Handbook brings together new contributions of leading economists, professional ethicists, and others, all of whom probe here what it means to be an ethical economist, and what is required of economics to be a responsible profession. The Handbook widens substantially the terrain of economic ethics by examining the ethical entailments of academic and applied economic practice.See Dr. Welch’s contribution here.
