"After a career of telling stories, I now have the opportunity to listen to stories. I welcome prospective students to reach out to me and share their vision for the future and their calling."

Margot Horn came to Meadville Lombard in August 2018 after a long career in marketing and communications. A native Chicagoan and lifelong Humanist and Unitarian Universalist, she is a member of First Unitarian Church of Chicago. Margot is a board member of CAUUC (Chicago Area UU Council) and an active member of UUPMI (UU Prison Ministry of Illinois), where she serves at Cook County Jail and hopefully soon at Logan Women’s Correctional Facility in Central Illinois. She has a B.S. in Design from the Institute of Design at Illinois Institute of Technology and an M.S. in Advertising from the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University. Margot enjoys travel, cooking and reading, and has a wild passion for Broadway musicals, particularly for Stephen Sondheim and Lin-Manuel Miranda.

What do you like about working for MLTS?

I love working in a community where my commitment to social justice, equality, and dismantling white supremacy is affirmed and supported. It’s empowering to practice my faith as a Unitarian Universalist as I work to help guide and support students who are starting their journey to ministry and social justice work.
